Medal – St Carlo Acutis – Gold (22mm x 15mm) – Designed and Made in Italy
Blessed Carlo Acutis (born May 3, 1991, London, England—died October 12, 2006, Monza, Italy; beatified October 10, 2020) was an English-born Italian computer programmer who was beatified (the second of three stages in the process of canonization) by the Roman Catholic Church in 2020. Only 15 years old when he died of leukemia, his beatification in 2020 by Pope Francis and his interest in using digital communication to teach others led to Acutis being popularly dubbed “the patron saint of the Internet” and “the first millennial saint.” His canonization was planned for April 2025 but was postponed because of Francis’s death that same month. Pope Leo XIV, Francis’s successor, decreed that Acutis will be canonized on September 7, 2025.
