Description
Rosary Bracelet – Tau (Olive Wood) – Designed and Made In Loreto Italy
The Tau Cross although related to pilgrims and people on their journey through life (or way, path or route), is a symbol of life and reincarnation after a period of reflection and contemplation – and a symbol of the Christian Saint Francis of Assisi.
During the time of Francis and from the Fourth Lateran Council, called by Pope Innocent III, the Tau was a symbol widely used by the Catholic Church, in general, as a sign of conversion and sign of the cross.
For Christians the Tau came to represent the cross of Christ and the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises. The cross, as prefigured in the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, represented the means by which Christ reversed the disobedience of the old Adam and became our Savior as the “New Adam.”
